Evaluating Drupal and WordPress MU

Authoring, editing, and managing official College Web sites

As part of our new Web Hub program — and in previous discovery projects (2008 | 2007) — I’ve been evaluating open-source content management software. Our two finalists are Drupal and WordPress MU.

Based on hands-on experience — as well as some preliminary ranking of criteria against our goals — I have been impressed with how similar these two packages behave in many ways. However, here are several areas where I’ve found differences worth attention.
